DAYBREAK XL
DRY WATER CONDITIONING AGENT FOR HERBICIDE SPRAYS WITH FIELDSTAR MICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY FOR ACCELERATING CROP RESIDUE BEAKDOWN
DAYBREAK XL is a water conditioning adjuvant system along with a proprietary consortium of microorganisms to hasten the natural breakdown and conversion of crop residue into nutrient rich soil organic matter. FIELDSTAR Microbial Technology consists of a premium blend of microorganisms and fungi that actively break down crop residue while cycling nutrients for subsequent uptake. FIELDSTAR is a proven microbial collection that is used on millions of acres annually. Accelerated breakdown of crop residue allows for more carbon to be captured and recycled to build soils, increase nutrient availability, and enhance plantability for greater yield potential. DAYBREAK XL is suitable for use alone or in tank mix applications with burn down herbicides such as glyphosate, 2,4-D, and others requiring AMS or water conditioning to prevent hard water antagonism. The sulfur in DAYBREAK XL serves as an important food source for bacteria to multiply and is a key component for protein synthesis both for plants and bacteria. DAYBREAK XL is a spray-grade formulation that readily dissolves in water to neutralize antagonism from hard water minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium. When used at the labeled rate, DAYBREAK XL delivers the equivalent water conditioning and chelating performance of up to 2% by weight (w/w) of ammonium sulfate spray solutions. DAYBREAK XL is compatible with a wide range of crop protection inputs and can be used with additional tank mixed spray adjuvants such as nonionic surfactants and drift control agents as needed. Crop residue that has been sprayed with DAYBREAK XL is not harmful to livestock.
Features & Benefits
  • Ammonium Sulfate: Dry, milled powder that conditions spray water to minimize hard water mineral antagonism of spray mixtures. Ammonium ions assist uptake of active ingredients and prevent surface crystallization of certain crop protection herbicides
  • 2-Hydroxy-1,2-3-Propanetricarboxylic Acid:
  • Consortium of Microbials: Premium dry blend of microorganisms that accelerates the degradation of crop residue, improves planter performance, creates stronger stands, and assists with the release of valuable nutrients to feed the crop.

Use Rates

Additional surfactant and drift/deposition aids are compatible and recommended with this product.

Use Rates for Ground Application
Use 5 pounds of DAYBREAK XL per 100 gallons of water applied at 12 to 15 gallons per acre.

Seasonal Applications
Fall: Apply after harvest for best performance.
Spring: Apply with early herbicide application or in the termination of cover crops.
Summer: Ideal for breaking down wheat stubble.

Note: Specific timing for optimal use varies based on tillage practices, fertility levels and other factors.

Mixing

Tank mixes containing DAYBREAK XL should be used within 48 hours of mixing for best results. Unless otherwise instructed by accompanying crop protection label, follow these mixing instructions:

  1. Fill spray tank one half full of water and begin agitation.
  2. SLOWLY add required amount of DAYBREAK XL to the water at the point of maximum agitation. Vigorous agitation is required to disperse the product.
  3. Continue agitation until DAYBREAK XL is completely dissolved.
  4. Continue filling while recirculating.
  5. Add herbicides and/or additional adjuvants as directed by the herbicide label.

Maintain good agitation until the contents of the tank are sprayed. If mixture is allowed to settle, thorough agitation is required to resuspend mixture before spraying is resumed. Always make sure that dry powders are completely dissolved in the spray tank.
